Known for his fast-paced, edgy comedy – and for selling out shows around the globe – Jimmy Carr is one of the biggest-selling comedy acts in the world and he’s coming to Encore Theater for one show only this Memorial Day weekend with his Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny tour.

Carr has toured over forty countries and his last world tour, Terribly Funny, sold over 1.2 million tickets. In addition to being a household name in UK television, he is also a high-profile name in North America. He was the first UK comedian to sign a stand-up deal with Netflix in 2015 releasing four specials on the platform, Funny Business (2016), Best of Ultimate Gold Greatest Hits (2017), His Dark Material (2021), and Natural Born Killer (2024). He also presented and executive-produced an original show for Netflix, The Fix, and has been a guest multiple times on American staples such as The Tonight Show, The Late, Late Show, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

Along with hosting a variety of popular shows in the U.K., in 2025 Carr will host Last One Laughing UK on Amazon Prime. The comedian is also an author whose memoir, Before & Laughter was released in September 2021 making the Sunday Times Bestsellers list.
