Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin dreamed up the beverage cart while playing the Desert Inn, and the best of the entertainment and sports business—think Bob Hope, Ann-Margret, Bing Crosby, and Arnold Palmer—all tested themselves against the course. The Desert Inn opened in 1952, holding numerous professional tournaments until it closed in 2002.
